WaveIPTV EPG: fix an empty or wrong TV guide (UK, 2026)
The IPTV EPG (electronic programme guide) is the TV guide grid in your app. When it's blank, or every programme is an hour out, browsing channels becomes a guessing game. Both problems are usually quick to fix.
IPTV EPG: quick fixes
- Guide empty: refresh the EPG in your app's settings or add the EPG link from your welcome email.
- Guide an hour out: check your device's time zone is set to London and that automatic time is on, especially after the clocks change.
- One channel missing: tell support the channel name.
01How the IPTV EPG works
The guide is a separate file (usually XMLTV format) that your app downloads and matches to each channel. With Xtream Codes logins, apps fetch it automatically; with an M3U link, the playlist needs to include the guide address or you add it by hand. Format details: XMLTV project.
02Guide an hour out after the clocks change
The UK moves between GMT and BST on the last Sunday of March and October. If your device's time zone is set manually or wrongly, the guide can be an hour out afterwards. Set the time zone to London with automatic date and time, then refresh the guide. If it's still off, use your app's EPG time shift.
03Fix the IPTV EPG in your app
TiviMate
Settings > EPG > Update EPG. Use the playlist's EPG time shift for offsets, and add a source under EPG sources if none is listed.
IPTV Smarters Pro
Use the refresh icon next to Live TV or Install EPG on the home screen.
Smart TV apps and MAG boxes
Reload the playlist in the app (or restart the portal on a MAG box) and check the TV's own time zone.
04Set the time zone on your device
- Fire TV: Settings > Preferences > Time Zone.
- Android TV / Google TV: Settings > System > Date & time.
- Samsung / LG: Settings > General > Time.
Still empty? Clear the app's cache (not its data), reopen it and let the guide download fully, then contact support with your app and a missing channel.
