IPTV on Xbox: how to watch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One (UK, 2026)

If your Xbox is already plugged into the main TV, you can use it for IPTV too. There's no TiviMate on Xbox, but two apps from the Microsoft Store do the job: MyIPTV Player and Kodi. This Xbox IPTV guide covers both.

01Xbox IPTV setup with MyIPTV Player

1. Open the Microsoft Store on your Xbox and install MyIPTV Player.
2. Open it, go to Settings and choose to add a new playlist and EPG source.
3. Paste the M3U link from your WaveCastUK email under "Remote channel list" and give it a name.
4. Add the EPG link from your email if the app asks for one, then select the playlist as active.
5. Go to Channels to start watching.

02Xbox IPTV with Kodi

1. Install Kodi from the Microsoft Store.
2. Go to Add-ons > My add-ons > PVR clients and enable PVR IPTV Simple Client.
3. In its settings, set the location to "Remote path" and paste your M3U link; add the EPG link on the EPG tab.
4. Restart Kodi and open TV from the main menu.

03Tips

• Use a wired connection: Xbox consoles have an Ethernet port.
• Typing a long M3U link with a controller is slow; plug in a USB keyboard or use the Xbox app on your phone to type.
• For a better TV guide and recording, a Fire TV Stick with TiviMate is still the better dedicated option.
